Abe offers condolences to Texas church shooting victims

TOKYO- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe offered his condolences on Monday to the victims of a mass shooting in a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, on the previous day.
"I would like to express my sympathy for the victims and send my best wishes for a speedy recovery of those wounded," Abe told reporters at the prime minister's office in Tokyo.
"I express (Japan's) sincere solidarity with the people of the United States during this difficult time," he added.
The shooting rampage left 26 people dead and 20 others injured, according to Texas Governor Greg Abbott and other sources. Jiji Press
