Tokyo--Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Monday vowed to make all-out efforts for the success of the 2025 World Exposition in the western Japan prefecture of Osaka.
"We're ready to work at full throttle under an 'all Japan' structure to realize a World Expo that can give encouragement throughout Japan, and dreams and wonders to people around the world," Abe said at a House of Representatives Budget Committee meeting.
Osaka was picked as the venue of the 2025 event at a general meeting of the Bureau International des Expositions, or BIE, in Paris on Friday. Jiji Press
