Abe pushes Sinkansen for Singapore-Malaysia railway project

GERMANY- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed hope on Saturday that Singapore will adopt Japan's Sinkansen bullet train technology for the planned high-speed railway project linking Singapore and Malaysia.
Abe was responding to a request from his Singapore counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong, for a strong proposal from Japan on the project, at a meeting in Hamburg, Germany.
The two leaders held the talks on the sidelines of a two-day summit meeting of the Group of 20 major developed and emerging economy through the same day. (Jiji Press)
