TOKYO- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit India for three days from Wednesday, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Tuesday.
During the trip, Abe will meet with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, in his home state of Gujarat. The Japanese leader will also attend a ceremony to mark the start of the construction of India's first high-speed train line using Japan's Shinkansen technology.
Abe will visit the South Asian country for the first time since December 2015. The Japanese and Indian leaders visit each other as part of their so-called shuttle diplomacy. Jiji Press
