Abe, Trump to Meet at White House on June 7

Washington- U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the White House on June 7, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Tuesday.
The two leaders are likely to discuss a possible U.S.-North Korean summit.
Abe is expected to reiterate the importance of resolving the issue of North Korea's abductions of Japanese citizens at an early date.
During their phone conversations on Monday, Abe and Trump agreed to work together closely to make the U.S.-North Korean summit successful.
Abe and Trump are scheduled to attend a meeting of leaders from the Group of Seven major countries set for June 8-9 in Canada. Jiji Press
