Abe Tweets Back to Thank Trump over Disaster Message

Tokyo- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on his Twitter account on Sunday thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for the sympathy he expressed the previous day over recent torrential rain that knocked out wide areas in western Japan.
"Sincerely appreciate Donald's warm words of condolences and solidarity," he said. "I'm confident that the bond of our countries will be further fortified through such as ordeal."
On Saturday, Trump tweeted: "Our prayers are with those affected by the flooding in Japan. We commend the rescue efforts and offer condolences to all who were injured or lost loved ones." Jiji Press
