Body of girl found near Tokyo

Abiko, Chiba Prefecture- The body of a girl likely to be aged around 10 was found near a drainage in Abiko, Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, on Sunday.

The Chiba prefectural police department received a report on the body from a 49-year-old man. As the girl wears no clothes, the police suspect that she may have been involved in an incident, investigative sources said.

According to the education board of the Chiba city of Matsudo and other sources, an elementary school girl, 9, in Matsudo has been missing since Friday morning.

The police are looking at the possible link between the missing girl and the body. Jiji Press
