Chinese govt ships enter Japanese waters off Senkakus

Naha, Okinawa Pref.- Four Chinese coast guard ships entered Japanese waters off the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture on Sunday, the Japan Coast Guard said.
This was the first intrusion by a Chinese government ship into Japan's territorial waters off the Japanese-administered isles since Dec. 30.
According to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters in Naha, the Chinese coast guard's Haijing 2302, Haijing 2305, Haijing 2307 and Haijing 2501 entered territorial waters north-northwest of Uotsurijima, the biggest of the island chain between 9:50 a.m. (12:50 a.m. GMT) and 10:05 a.m.and left waters west of the island between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.Jiji Press
