Emperor, Empress Hold Tea Party for Pacific Island Leaders

Tokyo- Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko welcomed on Thursday leaders of Pacific islands visiting Japan for their summit, at a tea party held at the Imperial Palace.
The Imperial couple and other members of the Imperial Family, such as Crown Prince Naruhito and Princess Kiko, the wife of Prince Akishino, enjoyed talking with the party guests, including Samoan and Palauan leaders and their wives.
Cochaired by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the Pacific island summit will be held in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, on Friday and Saturday. Jiji Press
