October 26, 2018
Beijing- A forum was held in Beijing on Friday on the sidelines of a visit by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to explore market cooperation between Japan and China in third countries.
The event attracted more than 1,000 participants, chiefly from Japanese and Chinese business circles.
On the back of improved bilateral relations, the two countries hope to find opportunities for companies to work closely in regions such as Southeast Asia, officials said.
Japanese companies aiming to expand operations related to China are expected to be involved in China's Belt and Road economic initiative presented by President
Xi Jinping for the development of areas mainly along the old Silk Road.
China hopes to expand its economic ties with Japan amid intensifying trade friction with the United States, according to the officials. Jiji Press
