Brussels- The Group of Seven major countries, in their upcoming summit meeting, are expected to demand North Korea achieve complete denuclearization, a senior official of the European Union said Tuesday.
The G-7 will hopefully issue a strong unified message that the Korean Peninsula must be denuclearized in a complete, verifiable and irreversible manner in order to have the sanctions on Pyongyang removed in stages, the official told reporters.
The leaders of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States and the EU are scheduled to gather in Charlevoix, Quebec, eastern Canada, for the two-day meeting from Friday. Jiji Press
