TOKYO- Police arrested Monday two high school boys and a 20-year-old man for allegedly robbing a self-employed man of a bag that contained about 72 million yen in Tokyo's Ginza district in April. The students at a Chiba prefectural high school visited Tokyo for a school trip on the day of the robbery. The crime took place during their free time, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The boys and the man, Okito Ogasawara, from the western Tokyo suburb of Fuchu , whose job is uncertain, are suspected of attacking the 45-year-old man from behind to knock him down and stealing the tote bag containing 72.57 million yen in cash on Suzuran Street in the posh shopping district in Chuo Ward on April 21. According to the police department, the man was attacked just after selling a 15-kilogram gold ingot at a precious metal shop. Some of cash fell out of the robbed bag and 40 million yen was taken away. The boys told the police that they were asked by Ogasawara to do a part-time job that paid well. Ogasawara said he is not quite sure what happened, according to the department. Jiji Press
