Inada Appointed Japan’s Top Prosecutor

Tokyo- The Japanese government at a cabinet meeting Tuesday decided to appoint Nobuo Inada, superintending prosecutor of the Tokyo High Public Prosecutors Office, as prosecutor-general.
He will succeed Katsuyuki Nishikawa and head the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office. Inada, 61, assumed the current post in September 2017 after serving in posts including vice justice minister.
Hiroaki Yagi, 62, deputy prosecutor-general, will take over Inada's current post.
These appointments will take effect on July 25. Jiji Press
