TOKYO- Japan's industrial production in July fell 0.8 percent from the previous month, reflecting sluggish output of semiconductor-making equipment and products related to power generation, government data showed Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted production index for the manufacturing and mining sectors stood at 101.5 against 100 for the base year of 2010, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said.
It was the first drop in two months, following a 2.2 percent rise in June. Jiji Press
