Industry minister to visit Russia, Southeast Asia

TOKYO- Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Seko will visit Russia for two days from Wednesday to attend the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, his ministry said Tuesday.
He will also join a meeting between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Russian President Vladimir Putin to be held in the Russian Far East city on Thursday.
Seko will then visit the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam for a total of eight days through Sept. 15.
He will attend a ministerial meeting in Manila on the proposed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership free trade pact among 16 Asia-Pacific countries and will hold talks with senior government officials of the three Southeast Asian nations. Jiji Press
