November 20, 2018
Tokyo--Nepalese Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Monday asked Japan to accept more workers from the country as the two nations promote their relationship.
Gyawali showed the hope at a joint press conference with Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono after their meeting in Tokyo on the day.
In 2017, the number of students from Nepal who started to work in Japan was the third largest, after Chinese and Vietnamese students.
At the meeting, Kono and Gyawali discussed bilateral cooperation and regional issues including those related to North Korea.
Ahead of the meeting, the two ministers attended a signing ceremony for documents on the supply of 5,000 tons of Japanese rice to Nepal. Jiji Press
