Buenos Aires- Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono expressed Tuesday his country's support for Argentina's economic reform.
Japan supports the economic policy and reform efforts of the administration of President Mauricio Macri, Kono told his Argentine counterpart, Jorge Faure, in a meeting in Buenos Aires.
Kono also expressed Japan's support for Argentina's bid to join the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development at an early date.
The ministers agreed that the two countries will conclude talks on a bilateral investment treaty, under way since 2016, at an early date.
Kono and Faure also confirmed that their countries will promote procedures to follow up on a recent agreement to lift Japan's ban on Patagonian beef imports in July. Jiji Press
