Japan Congratulates Turkish Pres. Erdogan on Reelection

Tokyo- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe offered his congratulations on Monday to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his reelection.

In a message addressed to Erdogan, Abe said, "I want to continue working together with you to promote the development of important Japan-Turkey relations more powerfully."

Abe said he is looking forward to contributing to regional and global peace and prosperity while cooperating with Turkey, which plays a great role in the Middle East and the international community.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told a press conference that Japan expects Turkey to continue work to promote peace and prosperity and realize further development under the strong leadership of President Erdogan.Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga offered his congratulations on Monday to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his reelection.

"I expect Turkey to continue work to promote peace and prosperity and realize further development under the strong leadership of President Erdogan," Suga told a press conference.

He also expressed hopes that Japan and Turkey will maintain their strategic partnership under the cooperative relations between Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Erdogan and strengthen the two countries' relationship further. Jiji Press
