Japan, Estonia agree to never accept nuclear North Korea

Tallinn,Estonia- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his Estonian counterpart, Juri Ratas, agreed Friday to never accept a nuclear North Korea.

In their meeting in the Estonian capital of Tallinn, Abe and Ratas also confirmed the need to fully enforce the UN and European Union sanctions against North Korea.

The two leaders also agreed to establish a public-private forum between Japan and the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to discuss cooperation in a wide range of fields, including information technology and cyber defense, goods distribution and medicine.

Abe and Ratas confirmed bilateral cooperation on cyber defense, in which Estonia has strong expertise.

They decided that Japan will send experts to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence in Tallinn to join research and exercises.

"We agreed on the need to never accept a nuclear North Korea and to maximize pressure on the country," Abe said at a joint press conference after the summit.
