Japan, France Sign Memorandum on Tourism Cooperation

Tokyo- Japan and France on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for promoting tourism between the two countries.
The memorandum was signed by the Japan Tourism Agency, the Japan National Tourism Organization and Atout France, the French tourism development agency, in commemoration of the 160th anniversary of bilateral exchanges.
"I hope that tourism exchanges between the two countries will be expanded further," said JTA Commissioner Hiroshi Tabata, who attended the signing ceremony in Tokyo.
Tourism cooperation between the two countries is expected to grow as the 2019 Rugby World Cup takes place in Japan and Tokyo hosts the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
The 2023 Rugby World Cup will be held in France, and Paris will host the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics. Jiji Press
