Japan Govt Appoints 2 New Ambassadors

Tokyo- The Japanese government on Friday decided the appointments of two new ambassadors, effective the same day.
Kazuya Ogawa, 62, ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina, was appointed ambassador to Algeria. Ogawa joined the Foreign Ministry in 1978. He previously served in such posts as minister at the Japanese embassy in Paris and ambassador to Rwanda.
Hideki Ito, 60, ambassador to Sudan, was named ambassador to Bahrain. Ito entered the ministry in 1979. His previous posts included consul-general in Vancouver and chief of protocol at the Tokyo metropolitan government. Jiji Press
