Japan, Mekong Countries to Hold Summit on Tues.

Tokyo- Japan and five Southeast Asian countries along the Mekong River will hold summit talks in Tokyo on Tuesday, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Thursday.
The leaders of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam will attend the meeting, which will be chaired by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
They will "draw up a new system for cooperation among Japan and the Mekong countries focused on connectivity, people and the environment," Suga told a press conference.
The summit is the 10th of its kind after its launch in 2009. The leaders will have dinner on Monday evening.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will pay a visit to Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, and Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi to Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, during their Japan visits. Jiji Press
