Japan PM Office produces no records of Suga meetings
July 3, 2019
Tokyo--The Japanese prime minister's office does not produce or keep records of meetings between Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga and senior officials at ministries and agencies, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Kotaro Nogami said Wednesday.
Such records "should be produced and preserved on the responsibility of administrative bodies who give explanations and reports, considering their position in charge of policies," Nogami told a press conference.
The remark followed the revelation that the prime minister's office does not keep records of such meetings with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Jiji Press
