January 22, 2020
Tokyo--Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his Polish counterpart, Mateusz Morawiecki, have agreed to step up their countries' cooperation on international issues including North Korea's provocative behavior.
At their meeting in Tokyo on Tuesday, the two leaders also had talks on a new airport project in Poland.
Abe told a joint press conference later in the day that Japan's airport management know-how is expected to be helpful for the Polish project.
Morawiecki said his country values economic cooperation from Japan, especially on advanced technologies and nuclear energy.
He noted that Poland, like Japan, is relying much on coal energy. Jiji Press
