Tokyo- The International Atomic Energy Agency's verification expertise will be essential for the irreversible dismantlement of North Korea's nuclear weapons and program, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Tuesday.
"We have to cooperate closely with the United States and other concerned nations to come up with the most effective investigation method" to verify that North Korea has abolished its nuclear program, Suga said at a press conference.
North Korea recently announced that it will shut down its nuclear test site in Punggye-ri in the north of the nation. Jiji Press
