Japan, Turkey Agree to Conclude EPA Early

New York- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed Monday to conclude a bilateral economic partnership agreement at an early date.
During their 50-minute talks in New York, Abe and Erdogan also shared the view that Japan and Turkey need to strengthen their cooperative ties in wide-ranging fields including cultural exchanges and disaster prevention.
On Turkey's agreement with Russia to set up a demilitarized zone in Syria's Idlib province, Abe hailed persistent diplomatic efforts.
