Japanese Princess Mako’s Fiance to Study at Fordham Law School

New York- Kei Komuro, the fiance of Japanese Princess Mako, the eldest granddaughter of Emperor Akihito, will study at Fordham University's law school in New York from August, the university has said.
Komuro, 26, will enter the law school's one-year program to acquire a master's degree in law and hopes to continue studying for two more years for a doctor's degree, a university statement said Thursday.
The statement also said that Komuro has been awarded a scholarship that covers the entire tuition without the need to pay back.
Komuro works at a law firm in Tokyo as a paralegal. After the planned U.S. stay, he is set to resume his work at the Tokyo firm.
Komuro and Princess Mako, also 26, the first daughter of Prince Akishino, announced their engagement in September last year. But in February this year, it was announced that their marriage would be put off until 2020. Jiji Press
