Japan’s Emperor Resumes Official Duties at Palace

Tokyo- Japanese Emperor Akihito resumed his official duties on Thursday at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo after feeling unwell earlier this week.
The Emperor attended a ceremony to receive letters of credence from newly appointed foreign ambassadors to Japan in the morning.
He plans to take part in a dialogue session with retired chief judges of high courts and other people in the afternoon.
Emperor Akihito started to feel unwell in the small hours of Monday and was diagnosed with dizziness and nausea caused by cerebral anemia.
Following the recommendation of a court physician, he continued to rest until Wednesday.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Emperor carried out his work of approving documents sent from the cabinet. Jiji Press
