Japan’s Kono to Visit U.S. Cities from Tues.

Tokyo- Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono will visit Honolulu, San Francisco and Los Angeles on a six-day tour from Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
During the trip, Kono will meet with Japanese-Americans in each city.
He is scheduled to hold talks with U.S. military representatives in Honolulu on Aug. 22.
On Aug. 24, Kono will attend an event in Los Angeles to celebrate the full opening of the Japan House overseas public relations center there.
The Los Angeles center was partly opened in December 2017. The Asian country also has Japan House centers in Sao Paulo and London. Jiji Press
