Japan’s Princess Kako likely to visit Central Europe in Autumn

Tokyo--Japanese Princess Kako, a niece of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, is considering state visits to Austria and Hungary for about 10 days in mid-September, the Imperial Household Agency said Thursday.
It will be the princess' first overseas trip as a state guest.
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the two countries.
According to the agency, events such as courtesy visits to the two countries' presidents, attendance at 150th anniversary commemorative events and interactions with Japanese residents in the two countries are expected to be arranged. Jiji Press
