Kawada Named Japan’s New Envoy to Poland

Tokyo- The Japanese government at a cabinet meeting on Friday named Tsukasa Kawada, ambassador in charge of issues in the southernmost prefecture of Okinawa, as ambassador to Poland, effective the same day.
Kawada, 63, joined the Foreign Ministry in 1977. He served as director-general of the ministry's Consular Affairs Bureau and ambassador to Algeria before becoming ambassador for Okinawa issues in June 2016. Jiji Press
