Kono publicizes “quality infrastructure”

NEW YORK- Visiting Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono publicized his country's "quality infrastructure" in a speech at a conference on assistance to developing nations here on Tuesday.

"Substandard infrastructure will not only inhibit sustainable development, but could even become bottlenecks to growth," Kono told the conference jointly hosted by the Japanese government, the United Nations and the European Union. Jiji Press
