Landslide on expressway injures six in central Japan

GIFU- A 60-meter-wide landslide hit seven vehicles traveling on the Chuo Expressway in the city of Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture, central Japan, Friday night, injuring six people on board, authorities said Saturday.
The injuries were serious for two and minor for the other four.
The Gifu prefectural police department and fire authorities are looking into details of the damage situation.
The landslide occurred around 9:30 p.m. Friday (12:30 p.m. GMT) at a point halfway between the Mizunami Interchange and Ena Interchange as a slope near the Tokyo-bound lanes collapsed.
Six adults and five boys were on board the four vehicles hit by the landslide on the inbound lanes. Of them, one adult and one boy were seriously injured, while three adults and one boy suffered minor injuries. Jiji Press
