Man Arrested for Stealing Vault Holding 400 M. Yen in Japan

Hiroshima- Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for allegedly stealing a vault containing some 400 million yen in cash from a home in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, western Japan, in February.
The Hiroshima prefectural police department and Onomichi police station arrested Kazuki Nakashima on suspicion of trespassing and theft, investigative sources said Wednesday.
According to the sources, a man living in the house reported signs of a break-in in February.
During its investigation, the prefectural police found that a window near the house entrance was broken and the vault was missing.
Police arrested Nakashima in early June, taking a cue from articles left at the scene and other evidence.
The prefectural police are looking into whether other people were involved in the theft, the sources said. Jiji Press
