N. Korea could conduct missile test in days: CNN
July 25, 2017
WASHINGTON- North Korea appears to be preparing to conduct another missile test in days, CNN reported Monday, quoting a US defense official.
Transporter vehicles carrying ballistic missile launching equipment were seen arriving in Kusong, northwestern North Korea, on Friday, the official was quoted as saying, adding that when such equipment is seen, a launch could occur within six days.
The test could coincide with the 64th anniversary on Thursday of the signing of the Korean War armistice, according to CNN.
North Korea carried out its first test-launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile on July 4, Independence Day in the United States.
It is uncertain whether the test will be for an ICBM or an intermediate-range ballistic missile. But any launch would likely be a warning against the administration of US President Donald Trump, which has ramped up the pressure on North Korea, including by requesting a UN Security Council resolution to impose tougher sanctions against the reclusive state.
