N. Korea Raps Japan for Keeping Pressure Campaign
May 7, 2018
Seoul- The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party of Korea, on Sunday criticized Japan for maintaining a tough stance against Pyongyang.
Japan, which insists on keeping sanctions and pressure on North Korea until the country gives up its nuclear program, can never set foot on its sacred land even 100 million years pass, the paper said in a commentary in its online edition.
During telephone talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on April 29, South Korean President Moon Jae-in quoted North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as saying at their landmark summit two days before that North Korea is ready to hold dialogue with Japan.
The Rodong Sinmun said, however, that Japan must change its mind, accusing the country for calling for maintaining pressure on North Korea while seeking dialogue with Pyongyang in cooperation with the United States and South Korea. Jiji Press
