Strong Earthquake Jolts Central Japan’s Nagano

Tokyo- A strong earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 5.2 jolted Nagano Prefecture and neighboring areas in central Japan Saturday morning.
There have been no reports of injury or damage from the earthquake, which struck around 10:29 a.m. (1:29 a.m. GMT), the prefectural government said.
The quake measured lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in the city of Nagano as well as the city of Omachi and the village of Ogawa, both in the prefecture, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The focus of the quake was located at a depth of 11 kilometers in the northern part of the prefecture.
Train service was temporarily suspended in a section of the Hokuriku Shinkansen high-speed rail line. Jiji Press
