Taiwan President Tsai ready to help typhoon-struck Japan

Taipei--Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen on Sunday showed her readiness to provide support to Japan, which was hit by strong Typhoon Hagibis.
Expressing her heartfelt sympathy to people affected by the typhoon, Tsai said on Twitter in Japanese that Japan is "the most important friend" for Taiwan. "We are always ready to visit Japan" to support the country, she said. Jiji Press
