Toyota to Offer Over 3,000 Vehicles for 2020 Tokyo Games

Nagoya- Toyota Motor Corp. has said that it will provide more than 3,000 automobiles, including fuel cell vehicles and electric vehicles, for official use at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
Among them, the leading Japanese automaker will supply the Mirai, a fuel cell vehicle, to showcase its state-of-the-art technologies as the firm hopes to take advantage of the quadrennial sporting events to realize a hydrogen society.
Its e-Palette autonomous electric vehicle will be used to transport athletes and officials in the athletes' village.
Toyota will also supply personal mobility devices for patrolling at competition venues.
In a statement released on Monday, Toyota said that it aims to "support the sustainable and smooth operation" of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Jiji Press
