U.S. Election Results Have No Impact on Bilateral Ties: Suga
November 7, 2018
Tokyo,--Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga on Wednesday said that the U.S. midterm election results will have no direct impact on bilateral relations.
"The Japan-U.S. alliance is unwavering, and both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party recognize its importance," Suga also told a news conference.
In the elections, Democrats are set to win back a majority in the House of Representatives, while Republicans are on course to maintain their control of the Senate. Jiji Press
