TOKYO- A female giant panda cub has started walking with her four legs, Ueno Zoo said Sunday.
With her hind legs becoming stronger, the baby panda, named Xiang Xiang, now can walk a short distance, the zoo in Tokyo's Taito Ward said.
According to the zoo, body checks on Saturday showed the 110-day-old giant panda was 68 centimeters long and weighed 6.9 kilograms, up 3 centimeters and 0.9 kilogram from 10 days earlier.
Several new teeth were confirmed.
The zoo is expected to allow public viewing of Xiang Xiang in December, when she will be six months old. Jiji Press
