October 28, 2017
TAIWAN- Men from Japan take part in the 2017 Taipei Gay Pride March in Taipei, Taiwan, Saturday, 28 October 2017. Around 100,000 people from Taiwan and abroad are expected to take part in the march, the biggest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) march in Asia. In May, Taiwan's Constitutional Court ruled that Taiwan's Civil Code, which defines marriage as union between a man and a woman, is unconstitutional and ruled that Taiwan must revise law to legalize same-sex marriage within two years, making Taiwan the first Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage.
