Benguet to host Miss Universe Philippines on Oct 15-16

LA TRINIDAD– Benguet province will host more than 50 contestants for the Miss Universe Philippines pageant on October 15 and 16.

Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas said the andidates will be having a photoshoot in various areas in La Trinidad, such as the strawberry fields and Mt. Costa nature park.

A cultural show is scheduled on the night of October 16.

The visit has been coordinated with the Philippine National Police to make sure health protocols are followed.

ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. EricYap initiated the activity to boost Benguet tourism.

Diclas said photoshoots will be done by batches at any location to ensure minimum health protocols. 

The Miss Universe Philippines coronation night was set on May 3 but it was moved to June 14 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was later moved to October 25. DMS
