EXCLUSIVE: British PR Agency Hired to Promote Tourism in Japan
August 27, 2018
London- The Japan National Tourism Organization has hired London-based public relations agency Black Diamond to promote tourism in Japan, informed sources told Jiji Press on Sunday.
The move is designed to help the Japanese government's tourism body communicate further with people in Europe, mainly in Britain.
Black Diamond's promotional activity will focus on highlighting the Rugby World Cup in Japan in 2019 and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
The contract between the two sides is effective through March next year.
The number of visitors to Japan from Britain has been sharply increasing in recent years, topping 300,000 in 2017 for the first time.
Tens of thousands of Britons are expected to travel to Japan to watch the Rugby World Cup. For the Tokyo Games, many Britons are also likely to visit Japan. Jiji Press
