Japan House Fully Opens in Los Angeles

Los Angeles- A ceremony was held in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Friday to mark the full opening of Japan House, a government-run public relations hub.

"Japan House is an important asset for Japan and the United States," Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono said at the ceremony.

Yoshiki from Japanese rock band X JAPAN played the piano during the event.

Japan House is housed in the Hollywood & Highland complex, the venue of the Academy Awards ceremonies.

In December last year, Japan House opened a shop on the second floor of the complex. A multipurpose space and a library located on the fifth floor will be open to the public on Saturday.

Japan House is designed to promote the country's culture and technological strength overseas. It is also located in Sao Paulo and London. Jiji Press
