“Mortar” at the Robo Cafe

Hanoi- This picture taken on December 11, 2017 shows a robot named "Mortar" delivering drinks to customers at the Robo Cafe, the first establishment to use a robot in Hanoi.

The inspiration for the spaceship-themed cafe, which opened recently in the heart of the city's historic district, came after the owners saw a sushi-serving robot in Japan. "Mortar" delivers drinks and snacks to customers as it moves across the cafe floor via electromagnetic sensors guided by aluminium strips. Jiji Press
