Tokyo- Businessmen and businesswomen receive purification from a shinto priest as they offer prayers for prosperity for their companies and the economy at the start of the new year at the Kanda Myojin Shrine in Tokyo, Thursday, Japan, 04 January 2018.
More than 200,000 business people and about 3,500 companies visit the shrine on 04 and 05 January, the first business days of the New Year, to pray for prosperity in their business endeavours. Jiji Press
