Russia Issues Commemorative Banknote for Soccer World Cup

Moscow- The Bank of Russia said Tuesday that it has issued a commemorative 100-ruble bill for the 2018 FIFA World Cup soccer finals, which will be held in the country from June 14.
Some 20 million such banknotes will be in circulation, the central bank said.
The front of the bill shows a boy watching legendary Soviet goalkeeper Lev Yashin diving to stop a ball.
The back features a map of Russia, drawn on a soccer ball Earth, with the names of the 11 cities that will host matches during the event. Jiji Press
