10 Chinese nationals and two crew safe after motorboat capsizes in Cagayan

A passing motorboat in Sta Ana, Cagayan rescued 10 Chinese after their motor boat capsized last October 12 in Santa Ana, Cagayan, the Philippine Coast Guard ( PCG) said Monday.
The PCG sub-station received word from a motor boat operated by Juanito Hortaleza, 58, and Julito Pudot, 50 and 10 Chinese capsized in the area.
Hortaleza said while they were underway to Gotan Beach, big waves suddenly hit the port side of their motorboat lifting the outrigger, causing it to capsize.
Coast Guard personnel proceed to the area where only the captain was found on the motorboat.
The passengers were brought by a passing motorboat to the shoreline of Anguib Beach.
The team proceeded to the Anguib Beach to check the condition of the passengers and gave first aid for those who suffered minor abrasions. DMS
