11 minors rescued in alleged pot session in Makati

Eleven minors were rescued by authorities after being caught for allegedly being in a pot session in Makati City Monday evening.
In a report, Makati City Police Station 10 said the students, with ages ranging from 14 to 17 years old, were rescued in an operation by their police and barangay watchmen at No. 616 Consular Area, Brgy. Southside around 8pm after receiving a complaint that they were noisy.
“Complaints said a group of students were creating noise,” a police official told The Daily Manila Shimbun.
Responding barangay watchmen knocked at the main door of the house which was opened by one of the students.
Authorities saw and recovered one piece transparent plastic sachet of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, a tooter, five pieces of small transparent plastic sachets with traces of suspected shabu, 18 pieces of aluminum foil strips and five lighters inside the house.
The case has been referred to the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Makati City Police for investigation. Ella Dionisio/DMS
